This is a slightly belated reference, owing to my hectic touring schedule, but I had a lovely shoot with David a couple of weeks back. We had been discussing shoot possibilities for years, so it was good to finally meet and work with him. The shoot we finally had was a mix of ballet and flour dance, as part of a group shoot. Finally got to work with David today after many years of discussing shoots and ideas.The shoot didn't go exactly to plan due to weather and traffic but we still made the most of it and experimented with some areas in my home and different outfits. I had my second shoot with David at the weekend at Sandon Studio. We only had an hour together but we still managed to produce some fab shots! And that hour was very relaxed and David is a lovely chatty photographer who enjoys lots of conversation as well as taking some fab images. He shoots quickly ad efficiently and doesn't take long to set up so even in an hour we managed lots of reallly fab sets. Was very glad to see him looking so well!  Hope to work with David again.

I had another lovely shoot with David. I don't think I've ever shot with someone so laid back. David doesn't rush through lots and lots of sets... He takes his time and gets lovely shots! David is very friendly and chatty, the time just flies by when you're shooting. I can not recommend him enough. We should definitely do another shoot soon!

He picked me up from the station then he drove me to his friends house in London - a beautiful setting with vintage furniture. It was the perfect backdrop for our shoot of period clothing.

I had a last-minute shoot with David, filling in for a cancellation he had.
David was a gentleman, very easy to work with, and the shoot was laid-back and relaxed.
He had a variety of clothing with him to model in, and we also made use of some of my own clothes.
Even though the shooting space was small we made use of what we had, and I think we created some lovely images together.

Looking forward to the next time I can work with David.

Finally got around to another shoot with David- it's only 10 years since the last one!! David was running late because of traffic problems which was no problem to me, but kept me informed and had a nice respectful attitude towards my time. He was relaxed and chatty on the shoot so I never felt rushed. He had an interesting concept for the shoot so that made a good change for me. And he was very complimentary about my figure. I'd say it was a very pleasant and relaxed version of work which I'd be happy to repeat- annnnnd he was happy to listen to back--back Celine Dion and wasn't grumpy that I didn't have cow milk for his coffee- what a gentleman! ( Thankyou David!

I worked with David again after about 6 years. It was great to catch up and was surprising how much he remembered from before. We shot in a very hot and dirty studio but David tried his best to make sure I was comfortable given the conditions. The shots on the back of the camera looked really awesome and I cant wait to have a look through the proofs. David really enjoys his photography and it shows as he worked hard to make sure the lights and everything was spot on and that I was happy with the images.

Finally able to shoot with David for 4 hours at Saracen House Studio. David is calm, cool and relaxed. He has an awesome sense of humor and is very professional. I really enjoyed our shoot and believe we got plenty of beautiful images, with lots of variety in outfits and lighting set-ups. We are already planning our second shoot, and I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend David to others. He brought a selection of stunning outfits and jewellery. He has amazing taste! David has great pre comes and I was very much looking forward to our shoot! I knew exactly what I was expected to do! We were in The Factory studio which david has used a lot so was right at home! He made sure I was happy and comfortable, and he spent a great deal of time building a rapor with me which was nice. He had some great ideas and was happy to take on mind also. He directed me at times but was mainly happy letting me do my thing! It was a very relaxed shoot indeed! Enjoyed it!

For the second time around David was an absolute pleasure to work with without a doubt.
He is friendly, easy to talk to and also very polite and professional throughout.
Unfortunately traffic was in no way in David's favour on the day of our shoot up at Bryn Hall Arch studio, but David still showed up as quickly as he could and didn't let us down.
We worked through a couple of sets at a good pace and got some stunning images from it.
Any direction given was very good, I knew exactly what was expected of me and the results are just beautiful.
Thank you David for such a short and sweet shoot.
Let's hope we can shoot again sometime soon.

Finally got to work with David today after messaging to and from for months! It was great to meet up with him in January to chat over ideas, so that by the time today came around, I was already reassured I'd be in safe, friendly and professional hands.
Canary Wharf location that he chose was superb; I want to move in! I really enjoyed the shoot as it was relaxed yet productive. David is very creative and came up with fab ideas, as well as giving me the opportunity to experiment with different set ups and poses. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I had a wonderful shoot with David last week in my lovely hometown in West Wales. He drove many miles to work work with me and I am so glad he did. David is such a delight to work with, very easy to get along with and he knew what he wanted to capture.
We explored various waterfalls and rivers and he was patient even when I got us a little lost oops and when I fell in the river we just laughed and rolled with it doing some lady in the lake style images.
We were lucky the weather was in our favour and from what I seen on the back of the camera he got some lovely shots, I can't wait to see more

I did an out door shoot with David, I had a great time.
He knew how to use the light to get the images perfect, He showed me the images throughout so we could work together to get the best shots.
He immediately made me feel very comfortable and consistently checked to make sure i was happy.
I would recommend working with David because he clearly knows his stuff in photography and i think we got some really good images but also because he has a very kind and professional attitude which meant we worked together very easily.

I had my first shoot with David today at Studio Antics, Kirklees Hall. We had an excellent pre-communication where David arranged to have costumes hired for our shoot. I was made feel very comfortable and at ease from the very start, and David was kind enough to both pick me up from the station and then give me a lift back home.
I absolutely loved working with David at the chosen venue, I felt very relaxed in posing for David and we both discussed a variety of ideas for our shoot, which was very pleasant as David took notice of some ideas I had that we executed, in my opinion, brilliantly.
David is very professional, friendly, engaging and enthusiastic photographer with whom I already arranged to work with in the near future. I am very excited to see the photos from the day and am just as excited looking forward to working with David again! I would definitely recommend his services.

I worked with David at LovePhoto studio in Newmarket. Davids pre comms were excellent and I was really looking forward to our shoot. David is so friendly, relaxed and has a great eye. His lighting is great and has a brilliant way of directing (without really directing and letting me flow). Breaks were regular and I really appreciated that he valued building up a rapport as much as actual shooting.
We got some superb images and I cannot wait to work with him again.

David and I have been speaking a lot about shooting for quite a while now..I'm glad the day of our debut shoot has finally happened!
David is a real gentleman, so polite, friendly and easy to talk to.
He made me feel totally at ease during the shoot and came along to our shoot at Bodyline fully prepared with a few extra clothing items and also had some great ideas which worked even better than we first thought.
David is quite creative when it comes to finding the right shot and definitely seems to know what works best with different models with a good eye for detail.
All in all we had a great couple of hours studio time which seemed to fly by! We're already talking about another shoot next month which I will be looking forward to once we sort it out 
Thank you again David and hopefully we shall be in touch again soon. Highly Recommended.

I had my second shoot today with David, after trying for months to get diaries to sync. Despite all our original plans for a derelict building and some indoor shooting, the light and the mud conspired against us for both, so we set out with some very simple fashion, to explore the river and the bridge as a back drop for some bw shots.. Despite the mud and cold David is always an absolute pleasure to work with, knows exactly the feel he wants to a shot, and is a bloody good fun to work with to boot!!!! Thanks again for an awesome shoot, and hopefully we'll have more luck next time

Me and David have been trying to arrange a shoot for some time but it was defiantly worth the wait. David is a very lovely man. Pre comms where great and the shoot was very relaxed and enjoyable. We worked on two different clothing themes and a soft white boudoir which i thoroughly enjoyed and very happy with the photographs.

I met David for a chat over lunch a few days ago and it was really refreshing to meet someone who wanted to get to know me before a shoot, to just have a chat and also to work out what I hope to gain from the shoot.
Doing this meant that we were able to put our heads together and come up with some awesome ideas for our first shoot as well as our future shoots together - which is always a bonus 
I totally recommend David  His portfolio says enough but the coffee and the peace of mind is a invaluable bonus

I had a great shoot with David yesterday on an Edwardian era theme... He amazingly took care of every single detail. He provided an MUA for our shoot, he hired a lovely impressive dress and he had also a great medieval house where the shoot took place.. I was impressed with everything and can't do nothing than thank him for everything. David is a lovely respectful guy, I also met him before the shoot to discuss ideas, professional at all times, very chilled out and relaxed.. After a long time of not getting round to working with each other, I finally had the pleasure of meeting and working with David at a Duo Day I did with Artemis Fauna.
David is such a joy to work with - he's so chatty and funny, I felt relaxed around him from the very moment I met him. He's good fun and full of ideas, it's just a shame we only had a short time to work together. I'd happily work with David again in an instant!

Today I finally got to work with the fabulous David Ballard after a good while of trying to set up a shoot. And I was over the moon with the day! David picked me up from the station and dropped me off again, and he took me to a fantastic studio, David was chatty and ever so easy to work with he made me feel extremely comfortable and right at home straight away. We were meant to just work on some fashion shots which instead lead to incredible lighting for silhouette shots, I am so pleased with the images from today and can't wait to see the finale.

He is an incredibly friendly, talkative and intelligent individual, whom I very much enjoyed talking to as well as working with. I had another shoot with David last week while on my July tour.
David was very enthusiastic as usual and I think we got some stunning images from our shoot! David had some ideas of his own but also let me have a lot of input too

Had a fantastic shoot with david a month or so back . As usual without fail the images were great ! Conversation flows easily which helps the shoot go fast , always a gentlemen and is kind to offer breaks for refreshments etc. felt the shoot went great as always and can't wait to work with you again ! Loved the results

I've worked with David four times now over the past year and every time am pleased to be working with him again, as he is such a lovely gentleman, with a great sense of humour, very friendly, and full of great ideas. David instantly makes you feel relaxed and engaged during the shoot and enjoys creating a wide range of styles and themes in his work, which makes the shoot interesting and fun. On our most recent shoot, we covered many different styles and created some superb pictures. David gives helpful feedback and direction, as well as inviting you to share ideas and suggestions. He's always considerate, impeccably polite and professional, and great company. David's always well prepared and well equipped.

I had a great second shoot with David at Moments Studio, just as our last shoot he was conversational and focused more on quality of shots over quantity and we did get some great ones. He made good use of the unique set-ups at Moments and was very helpful to the shoot by bringing along clothing options too which where great, and he was kind enough to let me keep them  Was again another enjoyable shoot with David and I recommend shooting with him!

david booked me for a couple of hours shooting at Saracen House studio MK, before the shoot he was great at communicating and telling me exactly what he needed me for on the shoot and what would be expected of me, he turned up bang on time with a makeup artist. From the shoots i have done with David he brings Makeup artists and a couple of dresses.. i think for a model this really adds to a shoot as it'd be something you haven't been shot in before, the makeup will be flawless and it gives you such an engery to work with! when you feel beautiful you will work so much better.
throughout the shoot David gave me feedback and let me do my thanngggg 
pleasure to work with, and we even have another shoot booked already!

I met and worked with David for the first time today. He was thoroughly professional throughout the shoot both towards the model and the studio equipment and was quite meticulous about setting up his lighting. A very pleasant chap who will always be welcome at Upper Mills. Very highly recommended indeed.

I worked with David in a beautiful location in London last year. He did a huge amount of research and organising before the shoot, and managed to find me a stunning Edwardian dress to wear. On the day he was very kind, considerate, gave me sufficient breaks and was absolutely a pleasure to work with. The resulting photos are lovely and I look forward to working with him again soon.

I had a great shoot with David, Hes a lovely person, and a great photographer, very creative, but also welcomed my own creative input. We didnt have that much time but we achieved some great results as we bounced creative ideas off each other and I would definitely recommend shooting with David, we have already talked about a second shoot and Im very much looking forward to it!

Had a really pleasant shoot today with David. He has great communication and made me feel comfortable throughout the shoot. I already know some of the images will be fab from the previews seen on camera. David is talkative and easy to get along with, I would recommend him for models with no experience to ones with the most experience. I look forward to working with David again in the near future!

I had a shoot with David and it all it was a great experience. He is a lovely guy, easy going and was totally relaxed during the shoot. He was kind enough to give me a lift to and from the shoot. He choose a great MUA, he was also very good with selecting looks and styles that would suit me. It's safe to say that David has a good eye for detail and is a highly creative photographer. If I get the opportunity I definitely would like to work with him again, He really is great to work with. Recommended

I had my third shoot with David earlier this week. We headed out on location and although the sun was playing up and the time flew by I think we got some really nice images. David had some ideas of his own but also let me suggest some too which was great. 

I hope to work with David again.

We had been in discussion regarding a shoot for a while so it was good to get everything organised, We had a nice long afternoon and managed to get everything into the time provided (plus some extras we had a go at) David has great ideas, and is a really nice guy. David and I have been discussing a shoot for a while and at last we have managed it. He was very well-prepared and had clear ideas about what he wanted to achieve. Upon picking me up from the station he was very professional and a complete gentleman: carrying my bags, opening doors etc. The shoot was enjoyable and I look forward to the next one. David was one of the very first photographers i worked with when i was starting out in modelling and it was a great way to start. He is not only a great photographer but he is very friendly and really helps to make the model feel relaxed throughout the shoot. I was very happy with the shoot and i still use the images in my port. David is very sweet and charming. I recommend David and will be working with him again

FIRST SHOOT

I had a four hour shoot with David today and it was great to finally work with him. David is very friendly and chatty and made me feel comfortable all the way through. He was fun to work with and let me suggest ideas too which was great. The time flew by and I believe David was very happy with the results. I would recommend him to any model and look forward to working with him again very soon. Thanks David! 

SECOND SHOOT

Had another shoot with David and we fitted A LOT into two hours. The images looked really good and I echo above comments. I am looking forward to the next shoot! 

(View images)freespiritThis is a slightly belated reference, owing to my hectic touring schedule, but I had a lovely shoot with David a couple of weeks back. We had been discussing shoot possibilities for years, so it was good to finally meet and work with him. The shoot we finally had was a mix of ballet and flour dance, as part of a group shoot. David turned up early, was professional and considerate, and the image results I've seen are beautiful.
Highly Recommended, and I hope we will work together again. Thank You.
